Analysis of the priority and the importance for establishing an eyeglasses store by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)

Abstract

|
Purpose: This study designed to investigate the priority and the importance for establishing an eyeglasses store at university area (area A), apartment area(area B), and residential area (area C) in Gwangju city by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). Method: The relative priority and the importance were investigated for duality comparision of lower factors in managing eyeglasses stores through discussion with the opticians and owners of the eyeglasses stores. The collected data less than consistency ratio 0.1 were analyzed for the priority and the importance of technology competitiveness, physical convenience, communication, product/service, and price factors. Results: As a result of the priority and the importance of lower factors in managing eyeglasses stores by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The most important factors were price (0.467) for area A, physical convenience for area B(0.440), and technology competitiveness (0.440) for area C. Conclusion: The priority and the importance of lower factors in managing eyeglasses stores were examined at university area(area A), apartment area (area B) and residential area(area C). The priority and the importance are estimated to reflect the interrelationship among assessment factors by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), The present results might provide basic data for establishing eyeglasses stores.
